My Project

Over 80% of my students are immigrants themselves or have parents that are immigrants. For most, English is their second language. Our school is made up of a diverse population of immigrant students including those from Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, El Salvador, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Albania, and China to name a few.

During the winter holidays it's so important that all students and cultures are represented.

A few holidays dominate during the winter holidays and may cause students who do not celebrate feel left out. Making an effort learn about other beliefs and traditions can reveal many core similarities and help students feel connected. Creating cultural art and crafts projects is a fun way to represent all cultures.

I would love to print out students cultural art in color and print personalized stickers for my students to create unique works of art celebrating their cultural throughout the school year.

Our school does not currently have a printing center but individual teachers and administrators help students print whenever possible. Of course, this is limited to black and white printing which doesn’t help when working on creative projects. In addition, most teaches buy their own ink and our school budget is limited for ink supplies. Please help me solve this problem for my students with a simple fix.
