This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a founding Pre-K program in a high-testing education system, Pre-K is often overlooked and lacks materials. My school is a Title 1 school, therefore my students come from a low socioeconomic status; resources are always an issue. I know my students might need a variety of learning experiences that cater to their variety of learning styles. It is without a doubt my mission to expose all my students beyond the world around them by providing meaningful, hands-on experiences and opportunities.

Our school is built off students that are bright and eager to learn.

We need resources! My goal as the community founding Pre-K teacher for my school is to help my students explore and discover their special talents, and bridge the literacy gap as a way to provide a path for them to be successful in school and become lifelong learners. I am asking for materials to enhance our centers, such as markers, scissors, stamp pads, and other items that will allow the children to explore and discover.

My goal is to send all of my pre-k students to kindergarten with strong foundational knowledge and confidence in their abilities. These materials will allow me to individualize the instruction for students. The sky’s the limit!
