My Students

My students want to know more. These youth are hard-working, organized, and thoughtful, and they are ready to lead.

My students know that although they are children, they can have a great impact on their local and global community.

They learn to work with whatever resources are available and try to influence their families and friends to do the same.

My students are compassionate people whose abilities to teach through action does not go unnoticed. Whether on or off campus, these kids set a strong example of their capability to learn new knowledge while carrying the knowledge that been sustained through the ages.

My Project

My former students who are fascinated with organic agricultural practices, including composting and farming are gearing up for an advanced course that builds on such concepts and practices.

With an attention to the importance of healthy, rich soils, students will cultivate their own microorganisms to enlarge their knowledge of how soil and other growing mediums become rich in microscopic life.

The organisms they grow will be applied in various composting techniques, which includes bokashi and aerobic composing. In addition, their cultivated beneficial bacteria will be applied during our second semester curriculum in static and aquaponic farming. What they cultivate will be a necessary part for creating and maintaining balance for the living organisms within these systems. Learning the "ABC's" of organic farming, that is, farming without the aid of chemicals, will be the main focus of this career and technical education course.
