This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Introducing cuisenaire rods is an awesome opportunity to use a new/unfamiliar manipulative. Cuisenaire rods offer multiple opportunities to use to reinforce math topics. Specifically with fractions, scholars will use the cuisenaire rods to solve fractional problems.

The goals for this project are to give students an opportunity to use manipulatives other than the more common fraction tiles.

Cuisenaire rods will definitely used for math lessons other than fractions.

My students use dry erase boards, so dry erase markers are also always needed and used.

My scholars are very special because they want and deserve educational experiences with multiple resources that will help them learn! Thank you so much for considering my scholars!
