Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a Title I School; we are located in a low income neighborhood. They are eager to learn but lack the necessary supplies. School starts in August, and parents struggle to purchase supplies or even uniforms.

Hurricane Harvey left us devastated now we are in the road to recovery.

They come to school with hopes and dreams. I want to enhance their dreams by increasing their knowledge. Fifth grade is a crossroads for my students as they are on their way to middle school. My students enjoy working on workstations.

My Project

Since Hurricane Harvey hit we are having to relocate classroom for upcoming school year. We are currently in temporary buildings and we are moving to a more permanent location. I am trying to get our new classroom room filled with new furniture. I currently have cubbies in a separate project to keep our journals organize. Now I am planning on getting a cubbie that is 5 X 2 that will keep our manipulates organized. These manipulates will be ready to be use at a moments notice. I currently keep my manipulates for the week in baskets on the floor. I want to improve how I keep my materials stored specially since we are getting a new classroom.
