My Students

A typical day in my classroom includes a lot of hands on learning. Every year a few of my students come into 4th grade still struggling with sight words and fluency skills. By the end of the year they need to be reading fluently in order to focus on the comprehension and vocabulary.

My students are the best.

Even though they might not be reading on level, they give me their all every day. With these materials I will be able to meet their needs appropriately. Our school is in a lower socioeconomic area and some of my students don't have support at home to read and practice sight words. The sentence activity will help students in reading and language arts.

My Project

My students need hands on sight words sentences, activities, and storage for center activities. These items will be used to create reading centers to meet the needs of all of my students. They will have the opportunity to master sight words and build reading fluency. Once they have done that, they can move on to the other centers for comprehension and vocabulary. The storage shelves will help keep everything organized.

Donations to my classroom will help me to reach my most struggling students who need me the most.

The cubbies will help to organize all of my activities so that the students have easy access to everything.
