Crucial Life Skills

Help me give my students the resources they need to develop important life skills. These things will be used to develop interpersonal relationship skills, cooking skills, and much more.

My Project

These resources will assist over 200 students in learning and developing important life skills. These things will be used for a Family and Consumer Science class in grades 6-8. 6th grade focuses on interpersonal relationship skills, how to make healthy decisions, and how to deal with conflict using conflict resolution skills. 7th grade focuses on nutrition and wellness. We also do cooking lessons in a classroom kitchen where they can learn basic cooking skills that they can use on their own. 8th grade focuses on College and Career Readiness where they learn research skills, interview skills, employability skills, and their career interests to get them motivated and excited for successful futures. These resources will be used for amazing learning opportunities and experiences for our youth!! I also run a club called Crafts for a Cause where middle school students partake in different meaningful crafts. An example would be crafting worry stones and sending them to Riley Children’s Hospital and also creating Christmas cards for local nursing homes. Some of these resources will be used for that club as well.
