Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 5th-grade scholars are creative, inquisitive and passionate about learning. Our school works hand-in-hand with the community to ensure quality education for all students who attend here. During my time with them, I often wear crocs in the classroom and the students LOVE IT! They talk about crocs being "cool" and often share what color they would want as well as which charms they'd choose.

These comfy kicks are a fun opportunity to express their identity.

I want to provide a safe haven for my students where they do not have to worry about being judged based on things out of their control. Together, we can remove barriers and help lift the students our community!

My Project

During this time , many students need an extra push to remain active in the classroom. These crocs will be used to provide students with an incentive to improve academics, behavior, and classroom engagement. Each student will be working towards earning this gift.

For many of my students, being able to have clean and comfy shoes are basic needs. My students will be able to select from a variety of crocs and charms, an incentive based on academic, behavioral, and classroom engagement.
