For my older students, things got a little bleak about halfway through the year when other classmates weren't making art class easy. When I introduced the idea of Crochet Club, we got a classroom set of crochet hooks and started making little friends during some free time every week. Suddenly, the students had something to look forward to and they got to make little friends along the way! It has improved morale and student involvement when they can find new ways to be creative. I'd love to have more resources to make crochet club an even better experience in the coming year, with easy yarn to see stitches, fluff to fill their friends, and some resources to help me get knowledge copied and make things a little easier for group learning. Adding some other fiber arts resources would help them even more with fine motor skills if crochet isn't their thing!
