Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting items to create a crochet club. A club will bring different students together to crochet, chat, and create crochet items.

Many students have never even heard of crochet but always find interest in it.

They would learn the basics to crochet which will expand upon as the learn. It is a skill they will have for a lifetime and can share with others.

Crochet keeps their minds and hands busy. It can be used as an incentive to get class work done in other classes they may have been struggling in.

Crochet is not a common things to see young people doing. This will be used in my school which is a title one high need school with a high enrollment of new New Yorkers.
