My Project

This project includes diverse Barbie dolls and playsets, LEGOs, popsicle sticks, tacky glue, and Dungeons and Dragons terrain for students to select for their crime scene reconstruction project in my forensic science class. This wide variety of materials helps meet students where they are so that the focus can be on the science behind their reconstructions. Students will use these materials to design and construct detailed crime scene models, applying their knowledge to create realistic scenarios. Once completed, other students will step into the role of investigators, processing the scenes just as professionals would—analyzing evidence, reconstructing events, and documenting findings to solve the crime.

This interactive learning approach brings real-world applications into the classroom, allowing students to experience both the creative and analytical sides of forensic science with hands-on activities and project-based learning.

By building and investigating these crime scenes, students will strengthen their critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through analysis that mirrors real investigative processes.
