Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In this project, students become Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) for social and emotional health, using CSI skills to identify scientific, physical, and emotional "clues" and solve social-emotional challenges. By tapping into SEL, students will learn to analyze their own emotions, develop empathy, and practice problem-solving. The CSI kits, case files, evidence boards, and reflection journals will guide students in recognizing emotional signals, managing conflict, and applying solutions, making SEL more engaging and tangible. These tools will foster critical thinking, self-awareness, and communication.

The project aims to build emotional intelligence, enhance conflict resolution skills, and create a supportive, reflective learning environment.

Your students are curious, creative, and eager to engage, making them ideal for this hands-on approach. The CSI theme taps into their problem-solving skills and encourages them to take an active role in their emotional and social growth. In addition, it adds to their Science Literacy as many of the clues to be analyzed foster science knowledge.
