My Project

Thank you for taking the time to read my proposal.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate; I get to work with some of the most creative students I have ever met.

My students are all nearing the age of transitioning from high school to the adult world. To effectively transition, my students need to participate in a program that engages them intellectually and inspires them to demonstrate creativity through project-based learning. Through project-based learning, my students will learn valuable skills that will help them be successful in the workplace.

After careful consideration and countless surveys that gauge interest from my class, they have decided to open a store within the classroom. Since my students enjoy creating, they decided that they wanted to spread positivity amongst the school and community by creating greeting cards, signs that promote positivity, t-shirts, and custom jewelry. To create these projects, we need cricut supplies.

I aim to design a program with individualized jobs to create merchandise for the store. Through this, my students will learn how to follow multi-step directions with checklists, handle money, work on practical customer service skills, and use their brilliant minds to create.

My students are beyond exceptional. They are a significant reason why I am always smiling. The majority of my class is on the autism spectrum. People regularly underestimate them, but they show me daily that they are the most loving, kind, and creative people I have met. I want to allow them to enhance their skills and flourish as creative individuals. The world needs my students to show off their creative talents.
