My Project

I so enjoy my students’ creativity. The Cricut Maker will provide my students and my Career Technical Student Organization members with an opportunity to explore their creative skills while honing their entrepreneurial skills.

Learning can be fun!

This project will be an opportunity for my students to learn about running a business even while they generate school spirit and school pride as they create products for their peers as well as the school faculty and staff. Students will have fun using their imagination and design skills to create anything for sale including stickers, T-shirts, mugs…it’s limitless!

Their projects will take them through the entire cycle of creating a product, calculating material costs, establishing markup to ensure a profit, marketing, sales, and completing their financial documents. I envision many opportunities to engage my students and CTSO members in very interactive, hands-on activities. They can then use their profit to fund our fieldtrips and activities.

In addition, this Cricut machine has so many applications for me as I can decorate my classroom and bulletin boards around curriculum themes as well as offer personalized incentives and rewards to students.
