My Project

Being different is never easy, especially when you are the only student in your classroom wearing hearing aids and using an FM system so you can hear the teacher better. Many of my students start out eager using an FM system (a hearing assistive device that helps my students hear the speaker better in a noisy classroom), but slowly begin to resent it. Even though many realizes how much the FM system helps them, they rather be like everyone else without any device.

A Cricut is a do it yourself cutting machine that allows you to make custom vinyl stickers, personalizing the student's hearing aids and FM system.

With the endless possibilities of the Cricut Maker, I will be able to customize hearing aids and FM systems to the student's liking. I can add their name, characters they like, and much more! I can also create personalized incentives for my students. With the personalized hearing devices and incentives, I hope it will get my students excited again to use their devices. I hope to make their learning journey easier and more fun.
