My Project

STEM has taken over my classroom. I noticed that my students are truly engaged whenever we study a subject through science, technology, engineering, and/or math. As their curiosity continues to grow, I would like them to create and display messages about the world around them and display them. The kids thought of the perfect solution by creating creative images to wear.

With the assistance of a Cricut Maker and heat-press, we will teach through our T-Shirts!

It was noted that everyone reads T-shirts, so why not create T-shirts with a message? After designing their shirts in the Cricut Design Space, each student can create their own T-shirt with a message that they feel is important. The students will be able to cut out their designs using the Cricut Maker, use the Cricut tools to remove the excess vinyl, and add them to the shirts with the heat press. I can just imagine the discussions my students will have about which topics are important, how to make people remember what the shirt says, how to make the message short enough for a shirt, but most importantly will this message make someone ask questions.
