Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our school community, many students face barriers to accessing advanced creative tools and resources. Our Title I designation reflects the high percentage of students who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. While we provide essential academic support, we believe in the importance of hands-on learning and innovation in fostering both academic and personal growth.

The addition of a Cricut machine to our classroom will enable students to design, create, and problem-solve through hands-on projects that will help them develop crucial skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.

As a Leader in Me school, we encourage students to take initiative, think creatively, and work toward personal and academic goals. The Cricut machine, along with the materials necessary to operate it, will provide students with the tools to bring their ideas to life—whether designing custom projects, creating classroom decorations, or making personal items to reflect their identities and goals.

By incorporating the Cricut machine into our classroom curriculum, we aim to enhance our students’ ability to:

- Think critically and creatively.

- Solve problems and complete projects.

- Collaborate with peers on group projects.

- Strengthen their understanding of design, technology, and innovation.

I look forward to seeing all of the phenomenal and creative projects the students will create with the ability to use a new Cricut machine!

Mrs. Ramsey will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by June 16.
