My Students

My school is a Title I public school located in the Bronx with the majority of students on free or reduced lunch. We have students living in single-parent homes, shelters, and foster care. Our students are faced with many challenges. As a teacher during this pandemic, I want our classroom whether brick and mortar or remotely to be an inviting, comfortable and safe place where my students have access to all resources to support their social, emotional, and academic success.

As a public school teacher, I am faced with many obstacles to make remote learning successful.

I would like to optimize technology resources to provide an equitable learning experience for students who opt to learn fully remotely due to this pandemic.

My Project

My creative students love to be engaged with hands-on activities and appreciate meaningful projects. I have observed how they appreciate when I provide them dynamic learning experiences beyond traditional worksheets and even online worksheets during this unprecedented times. This Circuit will help me meet this need for increased classroom engagement and to personalize student instructional materials in a well-organized, meaningful manner. I will also be able to create differentiated learning materials, such as individualized math manipulatives, to easily give to each of my students to use and take home. I am most excited to provide my present and future students such instructional materials. For my virtual students, I will easily be able to create, package, and drop them off at their homes to ensure they get the same dynamic instructional experiences at home.

Personalized instructional materials will show my students how they are special, valued, and loved with the learning experiences and instructional materials provided for them using this device.

Creating personalized instructional material will help increase engagement from each of my students despite what is happening in our world. We may also be able to use this device for meaningful projects and displays that can be used throughout our school community.
