Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A Cricut Club will be started on campus. In the beginning phase school swag will be created to give back to our sports program. This club will help promote school spirit. It also will reward the athletes, creates more of a team atmosphere, and help scholars feel a sense of pride for their school with items created with the Cricut.

In the future, clubs will use it to sell hand made items on campus as fundraisers.

Students will be involved in the planning, creation, and selling of the items. The school will fund the initial order of items, for example if students sell tumblers as a fund raiser, the school will purchase that initial order of tumblers and supplies. Students will then financially plan by allocating some of the profits towards future purchases for future fundraisers. This will teach the students about finances while allowing them to be creative and raise money for their club.

Our school will be able to use the Cricut to create custom school swag to give away at rallies and other school events. This will foster school spirit and allow students to be more involved in the process of choosing what items should be given away and used as incentives.

This donation will kick start school spirit, students getting involved in the planning, creation, and financial oversight of fund raisers, and give students a say in items they would like to earn.
