"Imagine with all your mind. Believe with all your heart. Achieve with all your might."—school motto
My students have an infectious curiosity about everything.
They love discovering new things and they get excited when they can do hands-on experiments. It's wonderful to see the light in their eyes when they finally understand the concepts or skill that's being taught. I believe in encouraging their curiosity because is allows them to discover, experiment, and experience new avenues beyond their own imagination.
My Project
An adventure awaits my students in the world of sea creatures, spiders, and various insects within this science collection. With this collection, they can get a vivid picture of the life cycle of a moth or they can examine the leaves of a flower. They will also be learning about the characteristics of unique insects and other specimens.
Hands-on activities are essential for my students to be engaged and productive within my science lessons.
These resources will provide them the opportunity to explore, feel, and observe various specimens that live in our environment. I am looking forward to using the plant specimens set to explain the various characteristics of plants and/or flowers, then explain their similarities and their differences.
After the lesson, we would go outside looking at the foliage and they would describe what they have observed, as well as draw their observations in the science journal. These resources will be the first step to an adventure to the world of creepy, crawling, yet interesting creatures.
