Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative and enjoy using manipulatives during math and science to showcase their learning. The materials I have requested are LEGO building sets and Magnetiles and buildzi.

Building creative thinkers starts with feeding their curiosity through play.

The students need an outlet to express their creativity. This is where the LEGO building sets come in. They are free to construct and be as creative as they want. They will also be used during math to help the students visualize the area of a model. Students can then use the magnetiles to create three-dimensional shapes when we dive into volume. The final piece is the buildzi blocks. These would be fantastic to use during our science unit to see what structures can withstand a hurricane. Any support you provide will be greatly appreciated.
