My Project
Covid-19 has impacted many students self-confidence and creativity. Fine Arts is always a subject that helps build a students Social-emotional learning and is an outlet to bring forth academic learning/creativity. We want students to have self-confidence to innovate, design, and create original works of art that is self-expressive of a students learning. Making that personal connection through art, we could see a students higher order thinking process and this is essential for all of my students. Covid-19 pandemic hindered our students to socially interact with peers in person, but with the arts I have noticed students interact and shine!
With the watercolors, clay, and art supplies, my students will have the ability to express their creativity and reconnect to learning in a hands-on and creative learning experience!
Students will sculpt original sculptures in relation to their interest and students will water color beautiful artwork of topics like their favorite places, favorite people, and favorite hobbies. All of our students have a voice and this project gives our keiki or children the opportunity to simply be themselves through self-expression in Fine Arts.
