Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the most amazing kids I have had the pleasure to work with. They come to school with a positive attitude every day. They go above and beyond to better themselves and to show the world that they are capable of anything. I am extremely proud of all of my students and the effort they put into their academics.

My school is a Title I, at-risk school, with a population of over 70% of English Language Learners.

My students come from low-income families, too. Families who work relentlessly day and night just to make it through the week. Due to the Coronavirus, many schools were forced to close their doors and find innovative ways to help students continue learning from home.

My Project

My students deserve to have a great year after what was considered the hardest school year ever known. The whiteboards will help me engage my students in all subjects by allowing them to share their thinking in a more creative manner. The books that I have requested will not only bring my students joy, but will also help them understand the importance of self-love.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 has impacted schools negatively in many ways.

The classroom teachers that once encouraged sharing classroom supplies are now having to restrict students from sharing in order to avoid the spread of COVID-19. The seat pockets will help students keep their supplies available at all times in a neat, and germ-free environment.

As we all know, students all around the world lost a full year of education. That is a full year of creativity put on hold. The Cricut will allow me to encourage and promote creativity in the classroom. Lastly, the fidget toys and activity book will help my students focus in class and will help minimize distractions so everyone can have optimal learning.
