My Project

Hands-on learning is essential for my little learners. In Pre-K, we use art supplies to enhance their creativity and sensory experiences in our learning themes and story time.

In a world driven by technology, it is important for young children to get messy and they can do that with art supplies!

My students use their imagination and art supplies to reinforce their learning and dictate sentences to describe their artwork with the story/theme we are learning about.

The art supplies such as Sandtasik Sparkling play sand will be used in our sensory table for my students to practice writing letters, play seek and find activities, and enhance sensory processing. The Childcraft upper and lower case letter beads will be used by my students to practice their names by beading them on pipe cleaners. The Smart Start circle stickers, owl stickers, and Dr. Seuss stickers will be used by my students to practice their pincher grasp as they practice covering letters, numbers, and shapes. The Crayola watercolor brushes and easel paper will be used by my students to paint and express their imagination. These items I am requesting for my DonorsChoose project will enhance many lesson plans to reinforce literacy, math, science, and social studies through art supplies, beading, etc. The students will create artwork that involves improving their fine motor skills as they reinforce the learning theme and stories we read in the class.
