My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources.

They all receive free or reduced lunch.

Our school is nestled in the heart of Miami where there is a lot of drive by shootings, and violence. This school focuses on careers after high school. Many of their parents often struggle to find employment and opportunities.

Each student in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!

By having Chromebooks and LCD tablets, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic and meaningful ways.

By providing the much needed technology, my students will begin to see themselves as true scholars and illustrators. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long students.

In this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!

As the teacher, I have done extensive research and reading on Technology in the modern classroom and statistics say that technology increases student scores. I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
