Help me give my students the art supplies we need to have a year full of creativity and self expression that will help us develop and grow into well rounded, empathetic, creative humans.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Melton's classroom raised $499
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are incredibly bright, excited and active. They love hands-on experiences that enhance their learning. I teach at a Title 1 school where the majority of students live below the poverty line. We are a beautiful and widely diverse school! My classroom has several students from diverse backgrounds who speak several different languages.
It is my dream that my students would have access to quality art supplies as a means of expressing themselves, developing social-emotional learning skills, and to help them develop a love for the arts.
Unfortunately, our school does not have the funding to provide arts education at this time. Research has proven over and over that children who are exposed to several forms of art are more empathetic, literate, and globally-minded.
My Project
These art supplies may look like simple paints and crafts, but they will open the door to moments of self-expression and creativity for my students. On our campus, we have limited access to art supplies.
These supplies mean my students will have the chance to explore many facets of artistic expression and exploration.
Creativity and art is a vital part of childhood. I need your help in order to provide my students with access to a variety of artistic tools!
My hope is that through several art experiences throughout the year I will see my students begin to develop their empathy, problem-solving, fine motor, and collaboration skills.
