My students bring such joy to my life and I am thankful to be their teacher. We seriously have some of the best students in our small town elementary school. I know that every school and every teacher says that, but I know just how amazing our students are.
We are over 60% free or reduced price lunch, but together our community, parents, and staff work together to get everything we need.
I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
My Project
Currently we have four basic Osmo kits. In these kits are included tangrams, words, and Masterpiece. What is interesting is that we have red tables and the Masterpiece app doesn't work quite right with the color in our tables coming through the tables. Masterpiece would allow my students to take any picture they want to take and create it on paper, like their own self portrait. The creative set would work so much better with Masterpiece, compared to having my red tables underneath. Along with Masterpiece, these set add-ons would bring a musical Monster who engages with my students' drawings and allow my students to code using blocks that they can actually touch and move.
Osmo allows our students to design, learn, and play outside the screen.
Osmo fosters greater student engagement in our literacy, math, problem solving, and science lessons. Osmo allows my students to collaborate together, think critically, be creative, communicate with each other, and also builds our team building skills. I am always impressed in how my students work together when given harder tasks.
