This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title I, at-risk school, with a population of over 70% of English Language Learners.

This is my third year teaching kindergarten.

My students come to school to laugh, learn, be loved, and to eat a healthy meal.

We provide 100% free breakfast and lunch for our students. We are working very hard to accomplish our dreams, goals, and, most importantly, graduating from college and becoming successful. Kindergarten is the foundation that prepares kids for the rest of their lives! College graduating class of 2037, here we come!

My Project

The time that I have with my kindergarten students in class is very precious because it is where most of their learning takes place.

I hope to help my kindergarten students build the love of learning in school and become great writers and scholars!

Journal writing is essential because it allows them to be creative and gather their thoughts and ideas! with the use of daily journal writing, it will help all students express their ideas and feelings freely by drawing pictures and writing sentences!

By donating to this project, you will not only help my students by providing them with fun and exciting individual journals to use in school and at home, but you will ultimately help them to increase their academic achievement in creative and expressive writing!
