This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I teach a Creative Writing course with 11th and 12th graders. We will be writing our own anthology this year and it requires a lot of printing to peer edit, revise, and determine the order of the pieces in the book.
But we're running out of paper!
Our school supplies one case a year but these kids can write and we're blowing through the second half of that box. Your support will help my students get the supplies they need to complete their second anthology together. This year's anthology will be called "Locked In" because that's what they say daily when they're ready to focus and write their little hearts out.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
