Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Middle school students are itching to get creative. As an ELA/reading teacher, I plan to motivate my students to use their creativity by having them work on in class projects as well as creative writing projects.

Students at this age love to add color and pizazz to their projects.

They can't do this without the proper supplies. Sometimes, students come to school without their homework done because they lack supplies at home. With pens, pencils, markers, color pencils, and crayons, students will be able to complete a creative class project showing what they learned from a story.

Journals can help students write down their thoughts. They can help them practice their writing with flair or gel pens. Students feel motivated when the materials they are given are more fun to use.

My Project

My students will be able to use these materials for creative writing projects. Students feel more motivated when given supplies they feel are more fun and rewarding, like gel pens.

Markers and crayons are needed for when students create projects to demonstrate what they have learned about a concept.

Students are able to feel more motivated using their creativity with hands-on learning.

Students who are in need will benefit from pencils and pens. Many of them don't have these supplies at home so they can't do their homework. With these supplies available to them at school, they will be able to complete their work at home as well.
