Help Ms. Trent

I teach high school Government and Personal Finance to grades 9-12. The school is located in an economically disadvantaged area of Tennessee. We are a Title I School.

We are blessed to have several computers in our classroom. But our school is unable to furnish ink for our printers. We use the computers frequently to create reports, presentations such as flayers and brochures. The students enjoy using the computers to show what they have learned in the classes. They have in the process learned many Office programs and how to apply them to their needs. I feel that their work is valuable and creative and screams to be displayed.

The ink for the printers will allow the students to extend their creativity and publish their work for display in the halls. This, in turn, will allow the rest of the school to gain interest in Government and Personal Finance .

Students need to be encouraged to develop their creativity. Sparking interest in required classes is always needed to build enthusiasm for learning. The ability to think creatively builds a foundation for higher level thinking skills and problem solving.
