My Students

My students are a very diverse group who would benefit from the opportunity of receiving the necessary supplies that are used in a chemistry lab/classroom. Most of the students I teach enjoy learning with hands-on activities that teach them how to problem solve and understand the concepts that are covered in a traditional chemistry class.

I teach many students that come from a disadvantaged background, and it is important for them to have the tools they need to be successful.

By providing them with the supplies needed to perform experiments, and having the opportunity to use lab equipment in the chemistry lab, is crucial to their education.

My Project

The above resources will help my students become more creative as they use these supplies for projects and labs, and take a more active role in inquiry learning. This year will be very hands-on with a cooperative group setting highlighting projects and labs to engage, enrich, and empower student learning.

Students will be able to make use of these necessary materials and supplies in order to create their very own unique project using the periodic table of elements.

An element brochure will be designed that requires the supplies listed along with computer technology to showcase their chosen element.
