My Students

The first thing my students do every day upon entering the room is paint. They love to be creative! Additional art resources will give them a variety of tools they can use to create.

I teach a preschool class consisting of 3, 4, and 5 year old children.

Many of them are experiencing school for the first time and are excited to explore their environment. My students have developmental delays and require additional resources to access their environment and meet their many sensory needs. They attend a large public school in a typical classroom. This presents the challenge of creating a class that is developmentally appropriate in both size and materials. My preschool students are eager learners and deserve the best!

My Project

My class is in need of various painting and art supplies to express themselves creatively. We read many books throughout the day that provide opportunities for students to create works of art using their ideas from these stories. We also learn and explore various themes. Having a variety of hands-on art materials develops fine motor skills and creative thinking through exploration. My students have many sensory needs and require multiple exposure to different textures and materials. These rollers, stampers, rubbing plates, collage materials, and other hands-on materials will provide hours of fun and learning!

Part of our daily routine in preschool is providing students with opportunities to express themselves creatively.

A variety of tools will help them develop fine motor skills, in addition to providing a creative outlet.
