Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students learn best when concepts are presented through a wide range of modalities, including visual (seeing) and tactile (touching). When teaching very young learners of varying abilities, and challenges, the more senses or modalities we can activate, the more learning will take place. We are in need of materials that will help of students with their motor development and social skills. Such as a dramatic area barber set, since I have students that like to pretend to be stylists. We also could use new play dough to engage students with their senses such as tactile, visual, and smell. Our students need materials that are suitable for 3-5 years olds to build social skills, communication and sensory input. We are also asking for manipulatives that require our students to use their muscles in their little fingers which helps develop their fine motor skills as well as work on their pre academic skills.
