This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I am a first year kindergarten teacher with very few art supplies. Creative Kindergartners Need Art Supplies!
I teach at a charter school in the inner city. My children need your help! The art supplies are a great way for them to immerse themselves in another form of learning.
I need things like an art easel to place in the art center. I also need material like paint, glitter, collage material the kids can use for different projects. I have some extremely talented artists and I'd like to serve their gifts and talents more in the classroom. My students don't have art supplies at home and they need more exposure at school. The items on my list would give my class many more opportunities to express themselves creatively.
You will make a difference for 19 little ones who don't get the chance to tinker with these types of material at home. Once a week is just not exposure to arts. With the items I've requested, they would have the chance to express themselves creatively more times per week.
