Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 6 wonderful students with Autism. I work in a high need school that focuses on sensory education for my students.

In the past 5 months, I have noticed that my student really enjoy art. It satisfies their sensory needs as well as their free play. Unfortunately, I have run low on supplies and my students are missing their art time. In order for them to enhance their OT skills and fulfill their sensory needs, I need to acquire more art supplies.

My students require the watercolor set and the painting studio to complete art projects related to the curriculum. My students learn through color and art. My students go through a lot of glue, crayons and construction paper during hands on activities. In order to continue these, my students need both of these supplies.

With your help, my students will continue to be able to learn their curriculum through hands on art activities.
