Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my 2nd-grade bilingual students because they are hardworking, creative, and eager to learn in both languages! Being in a dual language program, we switch classes throughout the day. My homeroom students can store their materials in their desks, but my second class has no designated space to keep their science and social studies materials and papers.

A classroom paper mailbox organizer would provide my second class with an organized and accessible place to store their work.

This would help eliminate lost papers, reduce distractions, and maximize student learning time by ensuring they can quickly retrieve their materials instead of wasting valuable instructional minutes searching for them.

The cordless glue gun will be an essential tool for our hands-on projects. In second grade, we complete two major projects: a habitat diorama and a robot made from recycled materials. The robot project, in particular, requires frequent repairs as students construct and adjust their designs. A cordless glue gun will allow them to secure their materials more effectively, ensuring their projects stay intact and helping them develop problem-solving and engineering skills.

These resources will create a more structured, organized, and engaging learning environment, allowing my students to focus on their learning and creativity!
