My students are excited about learning in my classroom. Covid-19 has made them a little less focused, but they are still upbeat and positive and happy to be in school. I have students who do well in all of their classes and some who struggle to stay afloat. Some of them come from affluent situations and some of them don't.
In short, my students are diverse, but they share the common trait of being explorers.
They want to learn and they want to do it in a hands-on manner. They like taking charge of their own learning and doing it using real-life learning experiences.
My Project
My students like being creative and being able to see the results of their creativity. I am requesting T-shirts and heat transfer vinyl that I can use to help students create their own T-Shirt Designs.
Students will create a logo or other design that I will cut using my vinyl cutter.
They will be able to see the results of their own work in designing on a T-shirt they can wear and share with friends and family.
This will help them understand what a graphic designer does for their career and give them skills to do similar work in the future.
