My Project

Hi, everyone! I am a first-grade teacher with 23 amazing students in my class. In this Donors Choose project, I want to create a creative corner for the young artists in my classroom. I believe that children need a creative and comfortable environment to learn and thrive in. They need to be able to enjoy the environment and use their imagination and hands-on skills to overcome different challenges. I believe creating an inclusive environment is very important so children can learn better.

With the paints, cardstock, brush pens, and other craft materials, we will be able to do more hands-on projects and fun crafts.

I can teach my students how to paint, make a collage, do hand-lettering, and much more. In addition, I added a small classroom rug and a few cushions to this project. I want to create a warm, welcoming environment for my students to learn!

Many students in my class are English language learners whose parents are new to this country. I think it will be very beneficial for them to do fun activities that they didn’t have a chance to do before!
