This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are lifelong learners who are eager to learn about themselves, each other, and the world around them. They ask the most questions, have the brightest ideas, and solve every problem at hand. They are creative and intelligent thinkers. We are all in a time of need and you have the opportunity to enhance their learning!

My Project

School supplies have always been on a shortage for educators, but with school closure extensions until Spring 2021, teachers have not have access, and will continue to not have access to machines at their school. Schools usually have a copier, printer, laminator, etc. for teachers to share. These machines allow for teachers to create content for their classrooms when teaching.

The creative content teachers provide add a huge value to the educational experience.

And right now, our kids are not getting this in their homes because I cannot create materials for them without a printer or Cricut. The kind of excitement you can generate using these machines, can help get students' attention and teach them newer concepts that they will fondly remember. And they will be able to keep these creative learning materials at home during distance learning. In summary, machines like a printer and the Cricut, are worth it for teachers because it makes learning more fun, easier, safer, and less stressing when creating learning materials during distance learning. Teaching half the year without these machines available have been a struggle and have lessened what I can provide for my students.
