My Students

I have the most amazing class of fifth graders. They are hard workers with a variety of backgrounds. We strive to build our class into a community of caring individuals. We live in a bedroom community to a larger city.

Critical thinking is a goal for our students this year.

Having the opportunity to explore new STEM activities will create the thinkers that will grow into adults that will think broadly. With technology changing as quickly as it does we are educating students to think like scientist and engineers to be prepared for the jobs that will be created in the future.

My Project

My students would like the opportunity to learn how to code with a fun robot type ball that can teach them how code writing works. Having the Sphero balls will create excitement and motivate the students to try. In addition it will challenge the students to be thoughtful scientists and engineers.

We need to create classrooms where we influence the exposure they have to changing technology.

Students today are learning to use technology faster and better than we imagine. I feel that using technology created to fuel student's imagination will give my students an education they can build upon in the future. We are training thinkers for the future.
