My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher who teaches 26 curious, enthusiastic students. My students represent a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My school gets very little funding, and almost everything for our classroom is funded by kind parents, generous donors, and me.

My amazing students love learning!

They enjoy participating in science, math, writing, reading, engineering, and art activities because they have fun and feel successful. When activities are engaging, hands-on, and meaningful, my students get captivated in learning and everybody wins.

My Project

Block play can encourage development in spatial reasoning, motor skills and hand-eye coordination. As my students experiment with balancing the blocks, they also discover early math and science concepts such as gravity and combining smaller shapes to create larger shapes. Along with having fun, my students will increase their creative thinking skills and flexibility as they use trial-and-error and learn about balance and support.

With these three engaging block sets, the building and learning possibilities are endless!

The wooden blocks come with several different shapes, so my students can be creative in their constructions. Cubelets are robot blocks that will help teach my students patterns, sequencing, and beginning coding skills. It will be so exciting for them to build different robots with these little cubes. The magicubes are unique because they are magnetic and my students can build in all directions without the blocks falling. This project is truly a perfect way to increase my students' curiosity and joy for learning!
