My Students

This curious group of kindergarten and first graders loves to interact with each other and their environment. They love technology, but learn best when they can physically handle the materials. They are compassionate about their friends and love to laugh.

This is a very diverse group of students who love to learn!

Our class comes from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and families. They encourage each other to take chances, try new things and support their friends when they make mistakes. They want to see each other succeed!

My Project

Children are naturally creative and curious. They love to use their imaginations to build and draw. They need easels to make painting possible in our small classroom. They need supplies beyond the traditional to grow their imaginations and try different ways of creating art.

Many students come to my room with limited art skills.

In this technological age, they are not spending the time creating with their hands, they are using tech to entertain themselves. When they discover the joy of painting a picture or cutting paper or felt into a creature and then adding eyes and pom poms, they glow with happiness.
