My Students

My amazing students are in the Functional Skills program at my high school and range in age from 9th-12th grade and Post-High which serves students ages 18-22 with moderate to severe disabilities. My students have varying degrees of disabilities but they all enjoy making art!

All of the students in my program would benefit from having new art supplies such as markers, acrylic paint and watercolors, real canvas and other engaging craft activities.

My students enjoy creating simple craft projects and making pieces of art they can be proud of to share with their families. Art is something that all students, no matter their disability, can enjoy.

My Project

The requested materials will allow me to continue to teach art once a week to a fantastic group of young artists with disabilities. My students love being creative and expressing themselves through art.

Providing them with high-quality art and craft supplies will inspire them to let their inner artist shine!

All of my students love art class and despite having a variety of mild to severe disabilities, they create the most fantastic and original art! They love to color, paint, draw and make craft projects. I would love to give them new paint, canvas, watercolors and other needed supplies to continue this creative enrichment class in their weekly curriculum.
