Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a Title I school, which serves a culturally diverse student community, including immigrating students arriving at different times of the school year. Most of my students come from single-parent, low socioeconomic backgrounds, and come to school to learn every day. They also look forward to their daily after-lunch recess time where they can play outside with their friends. As the seasons change, so does our weather and it greatly affects our outside activities. On rainy or very cold days, they have to stay inside the school building. In public schools, teachers don't get allotted enough money to provide fun activities for the kids to do on these days.

I would love to provide my students with multi-sensory activities to spark their creative imagination through arts and crafts on inclement weather days.

My students love to engage in arts and crafts activities so I have chosen fun art and craft materials to help my students spark their curiosity and creativity to a greater level. We would be very grateful to receive donations to bring our project to life!
