Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Are you amazed at how easily kids seems to pick up new technology? My students amaze me with their thirst for knowledge and ease with technology. With the world we are living in now, kids need as many opportunities as possible for interacting with technology and using it to learn.

My students come from so many different backgrounds.

There are middle class, homeless and everything in between. For over a third of my class English is their second language. My school has the most homeless referrals for the school system while being nestled in a beautiful tourist town.

My Project

By having an iPad, my students will be able to practice basic skills using apps. They will also be able to create and show what they know through technology. They will be able to create videos and picture projects. The world they will enter when they finish school is going to be tech heavy. They need the skills to be able to navigate this world. A lot of their families are not able to give their kids these tech skills.

My student need this technology to be citizens in this digital age.

Students are not always learning the safe way to navigate this digital age. At school they will have this opportunity.
