Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All the supplies requested will ensure that my students have an unforgettable 6th grade math learning. They will not only be reading word problems from a book but they will be able to use tangrams and 3d shapes to visualize the questions they have read. They will use rulers, graphing paper and glue to build their own shapes to incorporate the math learned. The chart paper will be the place where I will be showing their thinking.

The dry-erase markers that are always running low will not be an issue anymore for my students to focus on their learning.

Students love using dry-erase boards but we are often faced with not having working markers after a few weeks of use.

My students come from underdeveloped neighborhoods, with scars resources but they are very bright and eager to learn. Having these resources will allow them to see the connection of math with the real world.
