My Students

My classroom is full of energetic, curious students who are constantly asking tough questions and are always looking for ways to learn more and advance their skill set.

My students are incredibly creative, curious students who are constantly asking questions and thinking critically about pressing issues introduced in class.

While students on the debate team are from a variety of grade levels and abilities, they all coalesce around one goal to become better at debate. By equipping these students with iPads, they will not only be able to conduct research more efficiently, but they will be more confident entering debates with schools who are historically more seasoned in the art of debate.

My Project

My students love debate because it allows them to prod and dig deeper into areas of interest, but they are not equipped with the technology available to quench their thirst for knowledge. They currently are intimidated by their opponents from other schools, not because of their superior talent, but because they have resources we simply do not, and they go into each debate already defeated. With the introduction of iPads, students will feel more confident and be able to operate more efficiently and effectively in debate tournaments real-time.

Many of my students are not accustomed to having state-of-the-art technology at their fingertips, and they have become ingenious using the materials they have access to.

Providing students with iPads will open up doors not previously possible for my kids, and they will really be able to start maximizing their potential in debate and beyond if provided with this technology.
