Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember reading notes from the old chalkboard in the classroom? Remember looking at how dusty the board looks when the teacher would ease something? Well, if you do, you can understand why my students are in need of a Dry Erase Rolls so they see they can see the board much better.

I currently teach 9th grade Global Studies.

My students are active and very opinionated. They are not afraid to speak their minds, especially about the classroom. My students encouraged me to consider another alternative to the chalkboard. They were the ones to suggest that I get a "chalkboard facelift". This is just an example of how vocal many of my students are. A Dry Erase Roll is extremely economical than replacing an entire black board. The Dry Erase Roll will help my students to see and take better notes. In addition to the Dry Erase roll, my students will benefit from using Easel Pads to transfer cooperative learning activities.

My Project

I know that my students will benefit by having a new surface on the chalkboard. They will be able to take better notes and have a clear understanding of information that is being presented. In addition, the facelift would also service as a brighter background to project images on. Technology is a component of the Danielson Framework and my students will be able to benefit from the Dry Erase roll covering the old board to project a clearer image or display.

This facelift will serve double duty, one will be as screen and the other will make note taking easier.
