My students need Science Folder games and Science Learning Centers. Working with a partner or on their own, these materials will allow my students to explore plant and animal life cycles, weather, nutrition, basic body parts, animals and their habitats, outer space and many more topics.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
In today’s society, reading and math are pushed to be the most important. This huge emphasis is great but leaves out an important subject, Science. I want to provide my students with the opportunity to explore their world in our classroom.
A large portion of the student population at my school is challenged by generational and situational poverty.
This results in absentee and/or uninvolved parents, little ability to focus and follow through, negative social behaviors, and an acute lack of personal responsibility.
Ours is a PK-5 neighborhood school with 70.09% of its total student population on the free and reduced meal program. Students are a mix of socio-economic backgrounds, gender, races, and academic abilities.
My Project
Working with a partner or on their own, these materials will allow my students to explore plant and animal life cycles, weather, nutrition and basic body parts, animals and their habitats, outer space, and many more topics. Independent or peer learning can lead to a more sparked interest in science. Science centers and folder games will allow us to leave the worksheets behind and take a more hands on approach to becoming super scientists!
At a young kindergarten age, my students are not equipped with much scientific background knowledge.
I want to take the opportunity to ignite a passion for learning about science while my friends are still so impressionable.
